Durian is one of the fruits that Davao City is proud of because of its unique taste. It is often mistaken that durian is high in cholesterol but this is not true. The warming of the body after eating durian is due to its ability to speed up blood circulation in the body, which means it is just like the feeling when drinking wine.
When the blood circulation is accelerated, the body’s use of calories will also be accelerated, so it can help in losing weight, but it should not be overdone. Other than speeding up the blood circulation, durian has a lot of Vit. C which helps against infection, Thiamin or Vit. B1 which stimulates appetite, manganese which helps control blood sugar, Vit. B3 and Vit.B6 that help to ease the feeling and prevent depression, fiber that helps to facilitate weight loss and much more.
