  • The number of people clicking on search results or ads went up compared to last year for 21 out of 23 different types of businesses. The only ones that didn’t go up were Business Services and Industrial and Commercial businesses. But even for them, the decrease wasn’t as big as the increases in other industries.

Average CPC

  • The money you have to pay when someone clicks on your ad got more expensive for 14 industries compared to the year before. But for 8 industries, it got cheaper. And for one industry, which is about Apparel, Fashion, and Jewelry, the price stayed the same. It’s not too surprising that more industries saw prices go up (61%) compared to those where it went down (35%). This makes sense because our information shows that the price to pay for a click went up in the year 2022.

Within each industry category, we’ve considered at least 89 distinct LocaliQ campaigns. The numbers we present as averages are actually calculated as median values to better handle any unusual data points that might affect the results.
