In the latest presidential race survey conducted by Pulse Asia from March 6 to 10, 2028, Senator Raffy Tulfo and Vice President Sara Duterte emerged as front-runners, with a narrow margin separating them within the survey’s margin of error. Tulfo secured 35 percent of the respondents’ support, while Duterte closely followed with 34 percent. The race also included former Vice President Leni Robredo at 11 percent, Senator Imee Marcos at 5 percent, Senator Robin Padilla at 2 percent, Senator Risa Hontiveros at 1 percent, and Speaker Martin Romualdez with less than 1 percent of support.

In the same survey, preferences for the vice presidential position were assessed, with Senator Grace Poe leading the pack at 35 percent. Following Poe were Senator Marcos at 16 percent, former Senator Manny Pacquiao and Senator Padilla at 14 percent each, Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri at 7 percent, Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro at 4 percent, and Romualdez at 1 percent. Respondents also suggested other potential vice presidential candidates, including Tulfo, Senator Bong Go, Hontiveros, former Senator Francis Pangilinan, Duterte, her brother Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte, and their father, former President Rodrigo Duterte.

The survey, which sampled 1,200 respondents, had a margin of error of plus/minus 2.8 percent at the 95 percent confidence level. Pulse Asia has not officially released the survey results, pending their statement. Senate President Zubiri clarified that he has no plans of seeking public office in 2028, affirming his commitment to serve the Filipino people through legislative initiatives aimed at improving their lives. He expressed appreciation for the support he received from Mindanao and Visayas, which contributed 14 percent and 8 percent, respectively, to his Pulse Asia numbers.
