Chinese World Map – The ongoing tensions resembling a new Cold War have recently taken a concerning turn.
According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, Chinese tech giants, Baidu and Alibaba, have removed the name “Israel” from their digital maps. While the internationally recognized boundary lines remain intact, the name “Israel” is conspicuously absent from the maps spanning from the River to the Sea.
It is essential to note that China holds a close relationship with Iran, which, in turn, supports Hamas. As the Journal’s report suggests, China’s actions in altering these maps are not inadvertent. The Communist leadership in Beijing closely monitors published maps and is known for responding forcefully when they diverge from China’s assertive territorial claims. It’s crucial to recognize that both Baidu and Alibaba, like many prominent Chinese enterprises, operate under the influence of the Chinese Communist Party and are aligned with the government’s stance.
