Kalagan
The Kalagan are a Muslim people of the Davao region on the Gulf of Davao.
Sources on this group are thinner than for the largest groups. Figures are given only where a source states them, and this article will grow as more sources are added.
The Kalagan live along the Gulf of Davao in the Davao provinces.[1] They are the Muslim group of the region. Muslims were a small share of the Davao Region's population in 2020, with Islam named by 3.5% of its household population (the same share as MIMAROPA).[2]
The historical Sultanate of Maguindanao reached into parts of Davao, which is one reason Muslim communities developed there.[3]
