Tony Tan Caktiong

Tony Tan Caktiong is a Filipino businessman and investor, best known as the founder and chairman of Jollibee Foods Corporation, one of the world's fastest-growing Asian restaurant chains. He is also the co-chairman of DoubleDragon Properties.

Early life and education

Born in 1953 to Chinese immigrant parents, Tan Caktiong grew up in Davao City, Philippines. His father worked in a restaurant, which instilled in him an early interest in the food industry. He graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a degree in chemical engineering in 1975.
